Healthy Living Market & Cafe is committed to working with local farmers and producers to bring the freshest inventory possible to their shelves. We helped them launch their new brand by crafting an equally fresh online experience through their website, blog, and social media.
Food and Beverage
Healthy Living is a market and cafe committed to local products.

Vermonters tend to take living a healthy lifestyle pretty seriously
So naturally, Healthy Living Market & Cafe, which is based here in Burlington with a sister store in Saratoga, NY, is committed to working with local farmers and producers to bring the freshest inventory possible to their shelves. We helped them launch their new brand by crafting an equally fresh award-winning, online experience.

UX Challenges
Creating a browsable experience
We began this award-winning project by collaborating closely with client stakeholders to establish an information architecture and wireframes that would lay the site’s groundwork. Some of our core UX goals were making the site easier to browse, creating a more fluid way to switch between store locations, and smoothing out the overall experience on mobile devices.

visual design
Next, we went to work on some polished design mocks.
Healthy Living had recently done an extensive rebrand, with an all-new logo (courtesy of Aaron Draplin), type system and color palette, so we had some fun getting the new site looking crisp.
During the development process, we not only built out multiple modular content templates but created a custom events calendar with online reservation capabilities and implemented a new e-commerce solution for online ordering. The functionality of the original site, combined with updated branding and refined UX, ensured that Healthy Living is positioned to be the premier natural foods market in the area, and we’re thrilled to continue working with them.

"We’ve been able to see a direct correlation to revenue from the online experience Scout Digital created for us. Everything about our new site has translated to higher income for us."
